2018IIDC invention competition
organized by CIIS and in collaboration with Hong Kong Trade Development Council
(HKTDC), it was hold in 5-7Dec in Hong
Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, in Smartbiz Expo global invention zone.
This event gathered more than 300 inventors and81
inventions from 12 countries and regions. They are from Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Russia, Egypt,
Malaysia, Indonesia, Poland, England, China, Hong Kong, United States. Competition is under the
categories of “innovative technology”, “medical and healthcare”, “smart home
and building” , “eco and better living”, and “design”.
With the support of
HKTDC, the IIDC competition and exhibition got a fruitful outcome and came to a
successful conclusion. There are many young inventors come to join IIDC event
this year, These young inventors performed very outstanding, they are spotlight
at the venue. Like many other international invention exhibitions, the Hong
Kong IIDC event with Smartbiz Expo was exhibition-competition based; however,
its greatest distinction is that with HKTDC as intermediary, the events were
generally based on the trade of intellectual property rights and partnership
with buyers. In the 3-day exhibition, buyers were able to immediately enquire
about commercially viable inventions and place direct orders, and this active
on-site trade channel that allowed inventors to successfully receive orders was
a key feature in the exhibition.
IIDC also supported
by International Federation of
Inventors Associations (IFIA) , with the
assistance of IFIA and its President( Mr.Alireza Rastegar) in drawing talented
inventors from all over the world and providing two IFIA Best Invention awards
is much appreciated. One of the award was presented to Invention " LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY BASED
CASCADE IONIZING RADIATION DETECTOR VISUALIZING IN REAL TIME "
from Poland. This invention
is allows non-invasive
visualization of the interior of solids and biological organisms. It has a high
resolution, which allows for the differentiation of details about the size of a
single micron. It allows to minimalize the Rtg/X-ray energy used for medical
diagnostic and minimizes the side effects of ionizing radiation on alive
organisms, it attracted much attention at the exhibition. The other award was
presented to Invention " Personal
brain structure displaying device having intracranial electrodes and its
displaying method"
from Taiwan, this invention
co-labeling algorithm uses pre-implant magnetic resonance imaging and
post-implant computed tomography fusion for the localization of epileptogenic
zones and its relation with automatic labeled surrounding cortex. The method is
aimed to improve a technique investigation in epilepsy brain mapping for staged
epilepsy surgery. Therefore, the technique is designed to image seizure source
for epileptologists and neurosurgeons to conduct epilepsy surgery. The IFIA
representative Dr.Masoud SHAFAGHI gave a speech in the award ceremony, to remind
the importance of this event is very special for inventor and bushiness, to
congratulate the winners and to thank the organizers.
The inventions in
IIDC exhibition included patents from all over the world. Half of these inventions
came from technology industries, university incubation centers and academic
research. Youth inventor continued to be a highlight of this event. Twenty
inventions were from elementary, middle and senior high schools, their age from
10 to 16, they displayed many their brilliant ideas, creativity and English
fluency of these young inventors when describing their inventions to
international visitors were particularly noteworthy. At the IIDC, many of inventors
even received orders from Hong Kong, Singapore
etc. many countries which made them brilliant successes.
